![]() You could then fire another 2 times next round before running out of bolts (a repeating crossbow holds 5, as in notes in the equipment chapter). My understanding of it is that as a 6th level ranger with Rapid Shot and a repeating crossbow, you could fire up 3 times (with +6 base attack you would have two attacks, plus the third attack from Rapid Shot). ![]() Also I do have all the feats to use the crossbow, including weapon focus on it. What do you, the people, think? If you were the DM, what would you say? Would I be able to use all my feats as long as I make the roles successfully, or would you do what my friend said and only let me use rapid shot? I should note that I do have rapid reload so reloading doesn't take a round. I looked through the book and nowhere does it say that either of those are limited to bow only and not available to a crossbow. He said this based upon the fact that many shot is suppose to be "bow only", as in no crossbow. My DM said that as it is a crossbow I can't use both rapid shot and many shot with the crossbow. By my reckoning that is 4 arrows a round as long as I make the roll, which I do account for. I can fire twice a round with Rapid, and fire 2 arrows in one attack with the Many. As a lvl 6 ranger I have the feats rapid shot and many shot. ![]() I am a lvl 6 ranger and I like using a Heavy repeating crossbow. Little pissed now so if I sound that way, I apologize in advance.
